Steps to create Facebook applications

To create a Facebook application, visit: http://developers.facebook.com/

Note: You must use a personal Facebook account to create an app. If it's a business account, you'll need to set it up later in step 3. Your personal account must be a verified Facebook account. If your account isn't yet verified, you'll receive a text message from Facebook to verify it. So make sure you have a mobile phone number set up in your account; otherwise, you won't be able to create an app.

Step 1:

• Click on the "Create new application / Add a new application" link.

Step 2:

• Enter the app's display name and contact email address and click "Create App ID".

Step 3:

• On this page you can add the app's contact name and email address.

Step 4:

• You will now be redirected to the "Add Product" page, and on this page, click the "Set Up" button under "Facebook Login".

Step 5:

• In the "Site URL" section, add your site's URL and save it.

Step 7:

• Click on the "Facebook Login > Settings" link as shown below.
  Enter the "valid OAuth redirect URIs" here.

Step 8:

• Provide the application ID and app secret key for the application to configure the plug-in.
