How do I upload a blog to my website using Elementor?
How important are blog posts?
If we want our content to rank well in search engines, we have several options. Obviously, the most effective is paying ; I mean hiring a marketing and SEO company and developing a good marketing plan , in addition to allocating a budget to Google Ads.
That option, although highly profitable , may not be affordable for everyone.
Fortunately, it's not the only option . Google highly values frequent , high-quality content because it addresses users' search needs , and rewards it with improved search engine rankings.
We've already talked about the advantages, now let's see in a practical case how to create Blog Posts with Elementor.
In the browser, type the name of your website followed by /wp-admin as in the example: https://miramiweb.com/wp-admin and your username and password.
Your control panel should look something like this:
Now let's review the menu options on the left.
1. Ticket Management
In the left column is the menu with the different options you can control; now let's review all the functions:
On the Entries tab, we have two options (although there may be more): All entries and Add new. By default, we'll find some entries already created by the administrator as examples. Now let's add a new entry.
Click on Add new and the following window will appear:
Now close the welcome tab and write a title for your new entry; in this case, I've put: New test entry.
Once this is done, click on the blue "Edit with Elementor" button.
The Elementor interface will open, where we can create the content for our article.
On the left side, we have several elements that we can choose to add to our entry. For example, to add text, we simply drag it to the right side of the content.
Hovering over the text displays the options for that element. To add another element or return to the items menu, click the items menu button.
We can continue creating our article by adding elements, for example, an image.
Each item has certain properties that can be configured in the settings panel.
Once our article is ready, we click the Publish or Update button. We can preview the changes at any time using the preview button (eye icon).
Outstanding image
An important step is to set a featured image, as this will be the image that appears in the article grid and when the post is shared on social media, among other things. That's why choosing a suitable image is so important .
That image should not weigh more than 100Kb and have an approximate size in pixels of 1000×1000px, heavy images slow down navigation and harm the user experience.
Once we've chosen our featured image, we add it in the post settings tab. To do this, we click the gear icon in the bottom left corner.
In this section, we can add a title, excerpt, and featured image. To add a featured image, click the "+" button, and the following window will open:
Now you just need to drag and drop the image or upload it from your computer's local files; it will be placed in the Media Library . In the Alt Text box , you should enter something related to your image, as this will be the message the user sees if the image doesn't load correctly. It's also recommended to fill in the remaining fields, as they are related to your website's search engine ranking. In this case, we'll enter, for example, " summer salad ." Fill in the remaining fields and then click Choose.
